Signature Malt is a no-compromise malt designed from start to finish specifically for Australian craft breweries. It starts by selecting the best barley in the country from the best performing region.

The 2018 barley season was a true test of the Signature Malt program – to secure the best malting barley in Australia for the season. Conditions were challenging in many of the largest growing regions and overall volumes and quality were below par. Despite this our team were able to locate a parcel of outstanding barley that surpassed all expectations, and this year we found it across Bass Strait.

Tasmanian-grown and malted Westminster Barley was selected for this year’s Signature Malt and we are very excited to bring malt from the pristine environs of Tasmania to the mainland. The localised conditions were ideal and produced plump, uniform grains that are a maltster’s dream. We look forward to sharing the cream of the crop with Australia’s brewers over the next 12 months.
