IMPRESSENCE – SUGAR FREE B3

Blend of sweeteners that has been formulated to provide the perfect sweetness and mouthfeel for the Hard Seltzers.

This sweetener blend contains no fermentable sugar making it also suitable for back sweetening cider or ginger beer prior to bottle conditioning.

Sweetener Blend 3 is the same formulation as Sweetener Blend 1 but just at a higher dosage, so it is formulated to give the equivalent sweetness as a 7.5% sugar solution per pack in a 9.5L solution.

Use at a rate of (depending on desired sweetness):
1 x Sachet per 9.5L / 10L
2 x Sachets per 19L / 20L

What is the difference between Sweetener Blend 1, Sweetener Blend 2 and Sweetener Blend 3?

Both artificial sweetener packs have no sugar whatsoever and are made from a combination of Ace-K and also a second product called Sucralose (Splenda).  Neither product on their own present a good replacement to sugar. Ace-K has a short sharp sweetness that disappears fast and leaves no lingering sweetness in your mouth. If you  add large quantities then Ace-K can produce a bitter taste.  Sucralose on the other hand lingers for quite a long time.

Sweetener Blends 1 and 3 have slightly higher Ace-K while Sweetener Blend 2 has slightly higher Sucralose.  For 95% of drinks we recommend Sweetener Blend 1 or 3 as this matches really well with Cider, Ginger, Beer, Fruit drinks, Seltzer etc.

For extremely heavily flavoured drinks such as ones that contain Cola we recommend Sweetener Blend 2.  Some products like Cola have so much flavour that they require a sweetener that can stand up to this high flavour product.

The difference between sweetener blend 1 and 3 is the sweetness level. For a less sweet option use sweetener blend 1 (5% sweetness per sachet in a 9.5L solution) and for a slightly sweeter option use sweetener blend 3 (7.5% sweetness per sachet in a 9.5L solution).
